About Jeff Marlow,

Founder and Principal of Marlow Aegis

Jeff Marlow, physical security consultant and founder of Marlow Aegis

Jeff Marlow is the founder of Marlow Aegis LLC, a Florida-based consultancy providing owner's representation and security technical program management for data center and mission-critical infrastructure. He brings a rare dual-side perspective: more than a decade governing physical security at hyperscale on the enterprise side, and P&L delivery responsibility on the integrator side.

Jeff spent 18 years at Amazon, rising to Regional Senior Manager, Physical Security Programs – Americas, where he oversaw security programs across a portfolio of more than 5,200 sites. During that time he co-authored Amazon's first global Logistics Physical Security Design Build Book, establishing a standardized framework for how security is designed, built, and delivered across the company's footprint.

In 2025, he became Director of Programs at a regional security systems integration firm, taking P&L ownership of program delivery. That experience grounds his consulting work in the realities of cost, schedule, and field execution, not just the standards on paper.

Through Marlow Aegis, Jeff helps general contractors, owners, and developers get security right the first time, offering owner's rep services, security design review and QA/QC, standards authorship, and fractional security PMO support.

Before his corporate career, Jeff served more than 14 years in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, with deployments to Iraq (OIF) and Kosovo. He holds an MBA and Lean Six Sigma certification, is pursuing his CPP certification, and is a member of VFW Post 8108 (Riverview, FL).

Jeff lives in the Tampa Bay area with his wife. He is the proud father of three daughters and grandfather to five grandchildren. When he's not working, you'll find him cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and the Royals.

Why I Started Marlow Aegis

I kept seeing the same gap on projects.

General contractors making consequential security decisions without a partner who understands both the technology and how a job actually gets built.

A product got picked for the wrong reasons. The integrator was managed in a vacuum. And at the end, the owner inherited a system with no usable documentation, and the GC got the call.

Marlow Aegis exists to close that gap.

How I Work

Independent and vendor-neutral.

I have nothing to install and nothing to sell. Every recommendation is based on fit, total cost of ownership, and what will survive AHJ review.

Built around your job.

I evaluate access control, intrusion, and video against your real budget and schedule, and coordinate the integration around your crew.

Direct about problems early.

Budget, code, and timeline conflicts get flagged the week I see them, because that's far cheaper than discovering them at closeout.

Engaged through commissioning.

The handoff isn't done until the owner's team can actually use it.

Built on 14 Years of Army Service

Before this career, I served more than 14 years in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, with deployments to Iraq and Kosovo. That's where I learned two things I bring to every engagement: a plan is only as good as its handoff, and you own the outcome, not just your piece of it.

The Principles Behind Every Engagement

  • Choose for the inspector, not just the client.

Every recommendation should survive AHJ and code review without a scramble.

  • The project's schedule is my schedule.

I coordinate around how the job actually gets built, not in a vacuum.

  • Recommend what I'd install in my own building.

No kickback-driven specs and no favoring a product just because it's easy to source.

  • Say the hard thing early.

Budget, scope, and code conflicts get flagged the week I see them, not at closeout.

  • Handoff isn't done until it's usable.

Training and documentation the owner's team will actually open again.

  • Own the outcome, not just the deliverable.

I stay engaged through commissioning, not just to the point of handoff.
