Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of marlowaegis.com (the "Site"), including the Aegis Assessment and any forms, booking pages, and emails connected to it. The Site is operated by Marlow Aegis, LLC ("Marlow Aegis," "we," "us," or "our"), a Florida limited liability company. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who the Site is for

The Site is intended for business and professional audiences, such as general contractors, owners, architects, and their project teams. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. If you use the Site on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that company.

2. Information only, not professional advice

Everything on the Site is general information about security systems planning, product selection, project coordination, and related topics. It is not engineering, design, legal, code compliance, or other professional advice, and it is not tailored to any specific project, building, or jurisdiction. Do not rely on Site content in place of advice from qualified professionals who know your project.

3. Scope of practice

Marlow Aegis provides consulting services: vendor-neutral product evaluation, review, project management, and integration coordination for security systems. Marlow Aegis is not a licensed installing contractor and does not perform engineered system design, layout, or specification work. System design where required, installation, and code compliance sign-off remain with the project's licensed contractor, engineer, or manufacturer's design team. Nothing on the Site is an offer to perform services that require a license we do not hold.

4. The Aegis Assessment

The Aegis Assessment is a free self-assessment. Your score and rating are generated automatically from the answers you select. Results are educational and directional only. They are not a security audit, risk assessment, design review, or inspection of any project or facility, and they do not guarantee any outcome. You are responsible for the accuracy of the answers you provide and for any decisions you make based on your results.

5. No client relationship

Using the Site, completing the Aegis Assessment, submitting a form, subscribing to our emails, or booking a call does not create a consulting, advisory, or other professional relationship with Marlow Aegis. We provide services only under a separate written agreement signed by both parties. Every engagement is scoped individually, and that agreement governs the services, fees, and responsibilities involved. If these Terms conflict with a signed agreement, the signed agreement controls.

6. Booking a call

Calls are scheduled through a third-party scheduling tool. Booking a call is a request for a conversation. It is not a commitment by you or by Marlow Aegis to enter into an engagement.

7. Information you send us

Please do not send confidential, proprietary, or security-sensitive project information through the Site's forms, the Aegis Assessment, or a booking request. This includes drawings, device locations, credentials, and system configurations. We will arrange an appropriate way to exchange that material once a written agreement is in place. You are responsible for making sure anything you do send is accurate and that you have the right to share it.

8. Emails and communications

When you submit a form or complete the Aegis Assessment, you agree to receive the emails you requested, such as your results, along with related emails from Marlow Aegis. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

9. Intellectual property

All content on the Site is owned by Marlow Aegis or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. This includes the text, graphics, the Marlow Aegis name and shield logo, and the Aegis Assessment questions, scoring, and results content. You may view the Site and share your own Aegis Assessment results for your internal business use. You may not copy, republish, sell, or adapt Site content, or use it to build a competing assessment or product, without our written permission.

10. Acceptable use

When you use the Site, you agree not to:

  • Break any law or infringe anyone's rights

  • Submit false information or impersonate another person or company

  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk copy Site content or data by automated means

  • Interfere with the Site's security or operation, or attempt to access areas you are not authorized to use

  • Upload malware or anything else designed to cause harm

11. Third-party services and links

The Site relies on third-party providers for website hosting, email delivery, and scheduling, and it may link to other websites. Those providers and websites operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices. References to products, manufacturers, or other companies are for information only and are not an endorsement unless we say so directly.

12. Professional background and other companies

References on the Site to prior employers of our founder, including Amazon, describe professional history only. Marlow Aegis is an independent company. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Amazon or any other former employer. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

13. Disclaimers

The Site, its content, and the Aegis Assessment are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any information on it is complete or current.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marlow Aegis, its owner, and its contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising from your use of the Site or the Aegis Assessment. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Liability for services we perform under a signed agreement is governed by that agreement.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Marlow Aegis and its owner from claims, losses, and reasonable costs, including attorneys' fees, that arise from your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

16. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to the Site or these Terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

17. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when they were last revised, and your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our choice not to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Marlow Aegis regarding your use of the Site.
